Palmer’s 12U Majors Goes Undefeated Until 9th Game on Day 5 in Cooperstown, NY - June 2023

Our Dallas Tigers 12U Majors team, led by Coach Jacques Palmer and Ryan Banet, ended their Spring season at the Cooperstown Youth Baseball tournament in New York.

The boys played their hearts out, and we loved getting to cheer them on throughout the week.

The first day was for skills competitions, where teams competed for fastest cutoff play, fastest base-running, and ended with a home run derby. The Tiger’s own Liam Montgomery was runner-up in the home run derby.

When pool play started and progressed throughout the week, our Tigers quickly made a name for themselves as one of the better teams out of 69, going undefeated up until their last game. Each game saw a small crowd of “fans” from around the country coming to see what we were about.

Single elimination started on Day 5, and the Tigers beat out the Merrionette Park Express with a score of 27-3. Our Tigers went on to beat the Kansas City Crush late Sunday night in a nail-biter that went into extra innings and ended with a score of 9-7.

Day 2 of playoffs saw a tough Tigers loss to the Auburn Aces with a score of 4-5. The boys gave it their everything and we are so proud to have seen all their hard work throughout the season carry them so far at Cooperstown.
